the longlea retreat experience
Retreats at Longlea Conference Center are traditional, silent retreats for either men or women conducted by priests of Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.
The conference center, located on 843 acres next to the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, includes a chapel, a dining room, living rooms, classrooms, and 29 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 35 people.
Each day of the retreat includes Holy Mass, four or five meditations given by the priest, Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and recitation of the rosary.
The priest conducting the retreat is available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation as well as for personal consultation.
Walking trails and a small shrine dedicated to the Blessed Virgin help those attending the retreat to maintain a spirit of prayer and recollection.
All meals are provided in family style by our professional staff.
