Since Longlea opened in 2001 thousands of people have passed through its doors, prayed in its chapel, received the sacraments, listened to inspiring talks, and walked its bucolic grounds. Longlea has provided the setting for the spiritual nourishment of many women, men, college and high school students and priests over the years.
After 20 years of nearly constant use there are several critical repairs and upgrades that are necessary to keep Longlea’s doors open. We can’t go forward without your help!
The critical projects include:
$130,000 - Slate roof repair at the Manor House.
$77,000 - Chapel repairs (HVAC system, lighting, carpet); install an elevator for aging priests to reach their upper level room safely.
$200,000 - Repave road from route 522 to conference center.
$60,000 - Manor House patio repairs.
We are certain you understand what a blessing Longlea has been to our region and we want to ensure that you and many others will be able to benefit from spiritual activities there for years to come.
